What is the best monitor for a PowerMac G5?

I have a G5 with the Dual processor and I originally (4 1/2 years ago) bought an Envision EFT920 monitor that's about to die out on me. *Note: Back then, I had to buy an ADC to VGA adapter in order to hook my G5 to the Envision, so the good thing is that I still have that adapter in case I need it.

So as luck would have it, I'm unwittingly in the market for a new monitor and--while most people have transitioned to flat screen monitors and i probably should too--I'm still open to buying either a CRT monitor (I like the color rendition) or a flat screen/LCD monitor...I'm partial towards the flat monitors though.

What is the best, most durable monitor that I can buy for under or around $200? For that price range, can I get a monitor that's at least 22"? Should I consider an HD monitor (I do quite a bit of video editing) and if so, which one?

Manuel - You don't say which processor or graphics card you have. In spite of this, I'll add my anecdotal 2¢ - I've got a 2.3GHz w/9700 ATI. Last November, I bought a Dell 24" ultra sharp for around $500. Now, I see them on eBay for under $500. It works great with my EyeTV - I tend to record a lot. The monitor has fantastic color and resolution. I haven't had an issue with it, performance or durability-wise. But, that was more than $200. If you don't mind CRT's then I'm sure you could pick-up a good one on eBay. Something like a Sony GDM-1960 can be had reasonably - under ~$10. IIRC, their resolution is something like 1280x1024 w/a 130MHz pixel clock. The shipping, they're pretty heavy and bulky, would cost an order of magnitude more! I will say this, though, if the Sony CRT is anything, it's durable. I have one and it has displayed beautiful images & video for almost 20 years. For $240, I'd consider the Dell SP2309W, which has 2048x1152, and is $40 more than what the Dell 22", which has 1680x1050 resolution, costs.
