I don't care about new features --- are the old problems fixed?

Has anyone who had problems/glitches with the old version of MainStage been able to confirm that the new version does not have such problems?

Hello all-
I joined this discussion as I am having issues with MS1 and am thinking hard about upgrading...
After several freezes with my powerbook and mini, I invested in a good power conditioner. So far,
no problems playing out with the PB. With the mini, however, MS quits just about every rehearsal. I'm truly afraid to take it on a gig. Unfortunately, the setup with the mini is more complicated: two keys, Unitor8, driving a Presonus Firepod. I managed to get up to 53 patches when I got a memory full message, even though the memory bar in MS reads around 34%. I certainly need at least a dozen or
more setups as I play different sets depending who I am working with. The last thing I need is to have to exit a concert to grab a patch or set from a different concert. Has anyone else reached the memory limit?

Nobody uses MainStage on Xserve. Common is either a MacBook (Pro), a MacMini or - if you need PCI hardware - a Mac Pro. Never heard of anybody using either an iMac or a Xserve on stage.

I used to use an iMac on stage until I got a new MacBookPro this Feb. I bought the iMac about five years ago as the laptops then were not powerful enough. I used it mainly for electronic music with wild improvisation groups. It was a bit clumsy to carry around, but worked very well. I prefer my new laptop, though.
