Deleting a Program - Gimp wont delete

I recently downloaded Gimp to try it out, I wasn't in love with it so I moved it to the trash. When I subsequently attempted to empty the trash I get the following error.

"The operation cannot be completed because the item "libxapt.1.5.2.dylib" is in use".

Followed by

"The operation cannot be completed because the item"dbus-daemon" is in use.

I attempted to re-install and then do AppZapper, but when trying to reinstall I get an error message telling me the same thing as noted above.

Does any one have any ideas as how to get rid of this? I suppose I can leave it in my applications folder, but I woudl prefer to be able to delete this.

Thanks for any and all help

Seams like Gimp install something that is running and linked with those files, so system will not let you delete. Reboting may work. Sometimes I only can delete I file after days. If not, that you'll got to find out what process is requiring those files, stop them and eliminating also. But this procedure is dangerous for the system if you close or delete what should not...
