I'm probably being really simple here, but I can't seem to download any movies or TV shows directly from the iTunes store on my iPhone. Music works fine, as well as podcasts, but if I go into a movie (seems to be any movie), I get a preview button in the top right hand corner, but I can't click it. So all I'm left with is a description page of a movie. I've tried signing in and out, restarting the phone as well.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you talking about while in the AppStore via the Phone?
I believe any video type stuff you have to be on WiFi because of the size of it all that it will have to download.
Yeah I'm talking about the on phone Itunes store. And I was on my home wifi network at the time.
When I've tried to download larger files in the app store (think the limit is 10MB for over 3G/edge downloads), I've always been allowed to get as far as pressing the buy button, before I get a warning that the file is too big and I have to be on wifi to download.
With the TV shows and movies, I'm not even seeing a buy button.
Aha! Same thread as mine! I'm also having same problem recently,i downloaded a movie through iTunes on my laptop and transferred it to the iPhone today but was handy when i could download directly via the iPhone!
Glad I'm not going mad as it's the same for me. Just spoke to a senior advisor in Applecare and he has the same problem but does not know why it's happening. it's not just UK store it's worldwide.
I've also noticed in the store account settings on my iPhone when you click country it tells me I have unexpired rentals. I don't have any rentals as I can't download them!! Starting to think that this might be a bug.
I think it is a region thing. spoke with applecare yesterday and she was in Canada and her iphone was working fine. I'm in the UK and have tried syncing with my UK iTunes account and using a friends USA account and still the same problem. So I'm a bit puzzled why this has happened all of a sudden but no one in Applecare is aware of an issue.
