How can I save colors of text by copy and paste from a strange application

Hi!

When I copy colored text from a strange application to paste it into pages (4.0.2) all text is black. The colors disappear. When I look at the clipboard, I see the correct colors. In AppleWorks, MS-Office and OpenOffice the colors are copied correctly.
What can I do to save the colors?

Yes, I can use the magnifying glass on the Colors palette and grab the color and put it in a chip on the palette.

The clipboard shows the colors correctly und when I paste them first in AppleWorks and copie it again I can paste it into pages without mistake.

Or simply paste into one of those programs, and then copy from those programs to Pages.

I got the impression that the OP pasted into the other applications and just noticed that it worked.

What I suggest as an addition is to then copy from those other applications into Pages.

Revolution isn't a program I am familiar with. If you have programs that do translate the coloured text right begin with saving it in one of those apps and then open that file in Pages. It might work.

Can you use the magnifying glass on the Colors palette to grab the color and put it in a chip on the palette? It is a workaround and not very handy but it would get you the color.

Thanks for your suggestions!
I see it is not a mistake of mine but it is a bug of Pages.
I think I will go on using good old AppleWorks (2003) instead of Pages (2009).

Interesting that the colorised code from Revolution is being captured by the older software +at all+.

I would have thought that the color coding is a contextual thing, after all you would not want any actual formatting in scripting.

Seems the work around or continuing to use AppleWorks are your only real options. No harm done as the AppleWorks documents are still readable by Pages.

I gather you are using this to publish scripting samples?

I have always been interested in Revolution, is it really a viable successor to HyperCard? How useful is it? The prohibitive upgrades policy has always turned me off devoting too much effort in trying it.

I downloaded the trial version.

When I copy/paste from the ScriptEditor, colors are passed.

I would not be surprised to learn that the OP is using a third party 'enhanced clipboard'.

That is a good idea! Some days before I remarked an odd point in der menubar (at top of the screen). But I cannot find it again 😟
I looked in my "system-preferences" ( I don't the english name for it) but I found only these startapplications:

FontExplorerXAutoload (what ever this may be?)
