Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 - Can't Control Volume From iPhone 3GS

I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 headset; it is pairing and playing OK. However I can’t control the volume using the iPhone; this headset has no controls of its own, you must use the phone.

Anybody get this model to work OK?

Thanks

p.s running current software on a 3GS.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5), iPhone

Yes, I too have the same problem, in that I cannot control the volume of the music being streamed to my Sony Ericsson HBH-IS800 bluetooth headphones, via either the hardware or software volume controls on my iPhone 3GS.

The volume level seems to be "locked" when the headphones are used, and it is locked at such a high level, the listening to streamed music would probably damage your hearing!

Is there any chance Apple will update their bluetooth settings to allow music volume to be adjusted via the iPhone?

How does one contact Apple to ask them?

Apple does not support AVRCP, only A2DP. This may change in the future but has not changed in iPhone OS 3.1.

This is not a bug, this is a design decision.

You might want to invest in a set of headphones with integrated volume controls. I like the Morotola S9-HD's myself.
