loop out of sync

loop out of sync

when I extend my new bass loop it gradually gets more and more out of sync with the drums. it seems to be slightly too long by a fraction of a second. shaving a bit off the end doesn't seem to to work, track editor will only let me cut it by a whole measure or not all. any suggestions?

turn off Snap To Grid to split/cut "freehand"

note: if you cut a region so that it is no longer a full measure, it will definitely fall out of sync

well....on closer examination the loop region was ever so slightly over the mark at the beginning and under at the end. using the curved arrow to extend it just exacerbated the problem. But if I copy/pasted the region to the end of the track it hit all the marks.

glad you got it working. for future reference, for a MIDI loop it would be simple to fix. use Snap to make sure the region is exactly 1 bar long, then move the notes so that they're perfectly in time (the timing correction slider might work too)

It's a MIDI loop does that make a difference? Can't look at it just now. Get a chance later.
