Font changes on Microsoft Outlook

I've noticed when my clients receive my email on Microsoft Outlook, the front style and size is not the same as my email that has been constructed using Apple Mail

Any idea why?

blimpmedia, thank you for the excellent post. I'm struggling with this same issue.

I certainly hope there is a way to set standard font formatting with Apple Mail.

Is there a way to get the body and the signature to work in harmony and always display the same?

You can start typing your body in the first line of your signature.

it becomes impossible to make single words italic!

Are you sure the font you are using in the sig has an italic version on your machine?

You're right, incredibly Apple don't include italic for their default font Lucida Grande! Oddly it still lets you make a whole paragraph italic, just not a single word, if it's in a signature.
