Macbook Pro Wireless Connection Problems

I bought my 13 inch macbook pro 1 week ago and I've had wireless connection problems from day 2 (I think after the updates).
Problems include:
- Safari cannot connect to the internet for 5~10 minutes after I turn it on, whether it be from sleep mode or completely off or restart (the fastest connection I got after turning it on was about 40 seconds)
- Loading takes ridiculously long and eventually Safari cannot find the server
- Airport signal (on the top right hand corner) is always full when it is not working
- Sometimes internet works but it is ridiculously slow

However, when the wireless connection stabilizes, Airport Signal is 2~3 bars full and internet works SOOO well and I love it so much when it does. But the problem is that it stabilizes like 30 minutes to never after I turn it on and it makes me so mad I want to explode this piece of crap in the microwave.

So I've called apple support, and they made me try four things:
1. Reset modem, router, and computer
2. Delete caches, reset Safari
3. Putting Airport first on the Service Order and resetting DHCP Lease
4. Connecting with Ethernet Cable then resetting the computer

None of these worked, and I'm suspecting that the cause of the problem is the hardware (not the aluminum body that's just bs) because my router and modem are working fine (my other samsung laptop is working perfectly). I don't think the problem lies in my network settings either because I did exactly what the Apple technicians told me to do. So after Appleguy made me try all 4 of those diagnostics, he told me to contact my router company NETGEAR because he thinks nothing is wrong with the mac hardware, so I did. The NETGEAR lady told me if one laptop is working and another isn't, there is nothing wrong with the router. So if nothing is wrong with my hardware, software, router, modem, ISP... Why do I have wireless issues????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I'm going to return this <edited by host> or get another one with my warranty

My brand new 2010 macbook pro sometimes takes a long time to load a youtube video (or open a website). I downloaded istat to monitor the internet speeds and it seems that normally my internet is extremely fast, but every five seconds it drops to zero... When I have youtube open, it would load super fast for a couple of seconds and then stop loading. But if I fast forward the video, it would start loading again. I'm not a computer person and this is getting irritating since all the other computers and laptops in my house works fine.

Have colleague at university previously with Pixar, with '09 MBP issues. Through his place of work, achieved resolution with Mac coporate. Resolution revealed origins of wireless issues in chassis flex issue, pre-unibody.

Bottom line, pre-unibody casing flex leads board short / hdwr failure mode resulting wireless drop until reboot. Problem demonstrable, reproducible.

Colleagues issues resolved by Mac corporate through tradein for unibody model.

Same issues observed this correspondent's 09 vintage MBP, when changing locations within wireless network area (moving with MBP, carrying).

This unrelated to many posts, possibly related to some.

I have what seems to be a sort of a solution for my macbook, which is having the same problem.

To clarify, this occurs when the airport symbol on the top right of my screen shows with a question mark striking through it, and due to an IP address that does not mesh with the comcast system, you cannot access the internet.

If this is also your problem, here's what I do, I'm not sure why this works, maybe its just giving it time to sort it out on its own, or maybe this actually does something, but this has never failed for me so far.

Go to System Preferences

Click On Network

Where it says Airport, there will be a yellow dot, then to the right, it will tell you that it either has no IP address and cannot connect, or that it has _______ IP address and cannot connect. if it's the former, in a few seconds it should become the latter.

Click the plus sign in the bottom right, and have it create a new airport connection (by default called airport2)

Sit back and wait for a minute or two. The yellow light in front of Airport (not Airport2) will turn to green, and the internet will be back on. I normally delete Airport2 afterwards.

So thats pretty much how I deal with that thing. It bothers me because I dont want to get up and go to the modem to restart it every time, and, because i'm back at home for the summer, I cannot go into my parents room at 1 in the morning to reset the modem.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a computer person. I have no idea how this works. If I waved my fingers and said "hocus pocus" and my internet started working, i would be satisfied with that solution.

I've had this problem where router is being picked up by AirPort but the "IP is not assigned."

Solution:
If your internet connection works when the ethernet cable is plugged in, but does not via wifi, the following may help.

1) Connect the ethernet cable.

2) go to System Preferences > Network. On the Ethernet tab (which should have a green light to the right of it) take note of the IP Address stated in the central pane.

3) Now click on AirPort tab in the left hand column (which should have a yellow light next to it). Then click on the "Advanced..." button to the bottom right of the pane.

4) Click on the "TCP/IP" tab . On the "Configure IPv4" option, scroll and click on "Using DHCP with manual address. Below a text box should appear and allow you to manually enter an IP address.

5) In this box, enter the saved IP address (from stage 2). Now click OK.

6) Returning to the "Network" preferences window, you should notice that the AirPort tab now has a green light next to it, instead of a yellow one. To complete the network set-up, click on "Apply" at the bottom of the screen. You should now see across the Task Bar on the top of the screen, the AirPort icon, without the "!" and now with wifi connection of the net.

Hope this helps!

Brand new MacBook Pro notebook15", i7, 2.66Ghz. Hooked up to LinkSys, seemed to work fine for first few weeks. Hooked up new Airport Xtreme. Show full bars anywhere in our 3-story townhouse home (router on 3rd floor), but shows a very slow download speed 1-3 Mbsp, and drops the connection frequently. Upload speed stays pretty consistent (2.70), but not always. Using WPA 2 personal encryption. No one else is on the network. Changed the Channel. Only if I am in the same room with router is connection OK. When wired in, connection is screaming so it's not my Cable Modem speed. Then, went back to LinkSys and showing exact behavior -- always see full bar strength but actual signal strength is horrible. Reset the cable modem (but didn't pull out batteries-would that really make a difference?) Went to genius bar, they gave me new Airport Extreme (which is not the problem IMHO). Then they reinstalled the Snow Leopard System software. When I asked for new card, the Genius said that it's most probably not the card. But I'd still like to try. I'm at my wit's end -- this is the first laptop I've owned (have Mac Pro G5 Tower). It's useless - was looking forward to streaming HD to my TV, wireless. Going to call Apple Care and see what song and dance they give me.
