I am trying to tell my Slim Server Squeezebox where to find my playlists in iTunes so that I can play them wirelessly to my home audio system. I have my entire library on a remote hard disk. When I check in the F: drive I can see all of my music but none of my playlists. Where are they?
The playlists are part of the data set held in your iTunes Library file (iTunes Library.itl). The iTunes Library file file holds all the information about your songs (Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, Last Played, Date Added, etc). You'll get more information including the Folder/File structure in this article: What are the iTunes library files?

Yes, well unfortunately I have already read this file and it is no help whatsoever. There are no files/folders labeled either as playlists or under the name that I have given to my playlists...anyone else?
Zevoneer has given you the correct information. All of the playlist information is stored in the iTunes Library file. There are no separate files or folders with the playlist names. That's just not how iTunes stores the information.
