MacBook Pro Dripping Sound

Just purchased a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.53 GHz, MC118LL/A) and noticed soon after setting it up that it produces a sound every few minutes or so that sounds like a faucet dripping. This video captures one "droplet" of the sound:

Note: Turn your volume way up and listen closely for it just after the 0:02 mark. The sound appears to originate somewhere under the keyboard, near the Enter key.

My question: does it sound normal, or like a defect? I realize similar threads have been posted, but I haven't found one that matches this one exactly. Thanks.

If you can I would return it. Mine started doing this exact thing 2 days after I got it and I just new that something wasn't right. I'm glad I found this thread because I had a hard time explaining the noise other than saying that it was an annoying "pop". But now that I think of it dripping is exactly what it sounds like. My boyfriend said that he could hardly hear it and that apple probably wouldn't do anything. But I made a genius bar appointment and the guy took it in the back and when he came out he said that he definitely heard what I was talking about. He said that it was the hard drive and that the sound could be an indicator of a hard drive failure down the road and exchanged it for me no questions asked.

I just got my 13.3 MacBook Pro on the 9th and have been perplexed by the same single faucet drip sound intermittently, seemingly originating near the delete or enter key. I would have liked to hear MKG4's video but it has been removed.

I've run through a variety of troubleshooting.

Someone in the thread mentioned it being a hard drive problem and getting the machine replaced. The sound is annoying and it's exasperating. But would be more exasperating is finding out it is the start of a much bigger problem, one I should get fixed now versus later.

Suggestions? Please help.
