iWeb Not Opening

iWeb Not Opening

I open and it has the open progress bar it finishes than I get the iWeb, File, Edit, View, and so on. But Nothing else. I cant do file new site, nothing! I was working on it last night and it was fine that i was running slow, so I decided to call it a night shut the mac down and try opening iWeb today and nothing.
Can Any one help?

p.s. I when into Time Machine and restored the iweb app from two days ago when it was working. But nothing, the same problem.

The exact same thing happened to me today! I get the inspector popping up, but can't see the main work space. Anyone with information, please help!!! I've tried the usual work around copying the Domain to the desktop and deleting the preference file. Nothing works...

See if this helps. Close iWeb, turn off AirPort, and open iWeb. If your Internet connection is down iWeb has problems opening.

I believe this might work:

go to:

username/Library/Application Support/iWeb

You should see a file called "Domain" - this is your active workspace in iWeb.

What I did was move the Domain file somewhere else out of this location (I put it on my desktop). Then I reopened iWeb and when it asked me if I wanted to choose a domain or create a new one, I chose the latter. This produces a brand new domain file. Quit iWeb (no need to save anything) and go back to username/Library/Application Support/iWeb and delete the new domain that was created and then move the domain you moved out of there back into this location. Now try reopening iWeb. Hopefully, your old domain should open correctly.

Dude, you are a life saver! Mine had the same problem, so my first thought was to reinstall iWeb. I did that and it still didn't work. Your solution got the job done!

I have the exact same thing happening. I tried moving the domain file to desktop and re-opening iWeb. The window opens to select a new template for a new page, which I did, then closed iweb. I then moved domain file to trash and moved my previous domain file back...but no luck! Any other ideas?? Thanks, I'm really hoping to get my site back!

Thank you very much. I upgraded to 10.6.1 snow leopard.
When I tried to open Iweb, I got an error message:You can't open the application iWeb.app because it may be damaged or incomplete. So I did what you said, and wha la! It worked and I have my IWeb back. Thank you!
