Pages Business Cards

It's a bit clumsy. You need to select all the elements of your existing card (hold the shift key while clicking each of them), copy, click in a blank card, paste, click-and-hold to move the contents to the correct position, then repeat for all the other blank cards.

Business cards are rectangular objects as you may have noticed.

1. Make one the way you like it, with a box the size of the card surrounding it. This does not need to have a color.

2. Group all the text, images and surrounding box

3. Click on the group and hold down the shift and option keys and slide a copy sideways to duplicate it

4. Click on both copies and shift-option slide copies downwards till you fill up the page.

5. Position them accurately with +Inspector > Metrics+ or +Menu > Arrange > Distribute Objects+

Alternatively you can copy and paste as many times as you want.

Get rid of the other cards.

They are only useful if all you are going to do is copy and paste the text.

It is faster to make one complete card with text and graphics, then reproduce that.

There is no linking of design.

The most you can get is the auto-merging of the name and address details from the *Address Book* for yourself, or whomever you are making the cards for. That is done by dragging a VCard from the *Address Book* .app onto the page.

I can select all the elements in the card, and then copy them. The next step clicking in another card is no problem. But each time I then paste in the new card, I simply get a paste in the original card instead.

Just click on the pasted image(s) and drag to a new location. After selecting all the elements in the original and before copying you could click the 'group' button so that you will be dealing with only one element when pasting.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. I was just going to start a message for this same topic until I found it on here. Using shift to select all works, also after you have selected all of the content in one cell, you can alt/option click and drag to a new cell. This will duplicate what you have selected without having to copy and paste it.

Wish I'd thought of that!
