.TiVo Files

Does anyone know if the Mpeg-2 codec would enable the viewing of .TiVo files? Until TiVo releases its TiVo Desktop program for Mac I am forced to use Virtual PC. I do not have the patience to attempt finding and installing a codec on an emulated Windows machine. My hope is that by moving my files from my PC to my Mac I can view my recorded shows natively.

Has anyone attempted to install the Mpeg-2 codec and used it to view .TiVo files? I want to check before I purchase and install the plug-in.
