How can I find display profile for Sony KDL-XBR52? to add to list

My mini mac quickly recognized my BenQ monitor and found a profile for it, but when I connected to the Sony it did not show a specific profile. I just chose cinema display. It look great but just curious if a specific profile for the Sony wound make any difference.

A Mac picks up that sort of information from something called the Plug-and-Display Driver. This is display driver data that pre-exists within the monitor or TV and is transmitted over the DDC channel embedded in the video cable. If the Mac didn't pick up a Sony profile, it's because the Sony didn't have one to send. In that case, you will have to continue using an alternate, like Cinema Display, as you are already doing.

You can also create a custom profile by doing a display calibration, either by using the Calibrate in Mac OS X, found on the Color tab of the Displays system preference, or (better if you're looking for precise calibration) using a hardware color calibrator.
