Facebook will not load

Hey,
So I cannot load facebook for 5 days now using Safari 4. It is the only website with this problem. I have emptied my cache, reset safari, run 2 virus scans, changed passwords, tried Firefox and Opera (neither would open it).
I see this has been a problem before but can I fix it or is it a facebook problem? I can live without facebook just want to make sure it is not a phishing problem.

Thanks for any help.

I am having the same problem, both safari and firefox cannot load facebook, but works fine of all other website

Try changing the MTU setting on your router to 1400. This fixed this problem for me. I have no idea why this solution worked, but it did. It appears that either the latest OS X or Firefox or Safari (or facebook) has fudges some rare boundary condition or something. In any case, this fixed it for me.

I use airport express and it simply connect to the cable modem, seems complicate for me to deal with router setting, but it suddenly can load now without reason

I'm also having this same issue, so despite Keats2010's reminders that he & "none of the Mac FB users HE knows" have this problem, it's obvious many others do.

I was only trying to point you to the fact that these forums are the repair shop. Only those with problems come here and we help each other the best we can to solve them. The many millions who have downloaded safari 4 have very little or no problem so don't need to come here. These forums represent a very minute number of people having issues and are generally related to third party issues or maintenance issues.

I still have no personal knowledge of any problems with Facebook at present. Works fine from Bookmarks or top Sites for me and I run a G4 Powerbook. So please look at the advice I was giving the original poster and don't use sarcasm.
