Where are phone numbers stored in computer?

The iPhone is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer for contact info.

With XP, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007 along with calendar events, or with the address book used by Outlook Express (Windows Mail) for contacts only. This must be manually selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences.

If you were syncing contacts with a supported application on your computer, all contact info should be available with the supported application on your computer.

Then it doesn't sound like you were syncing your iPhone contacts with Outlook since phone numbers are included. If you were syncing contacts with Outlook, the phone numbers would be available. Do you have Outlook 2003 or 2007?

iPhone contacts are included with your iPhone's backup, which is created and maintained by iTunes as the first step during the sync process, but there isn't an easy way to access and extract contact info from an iPhone's backup. There may be a 3rd party utility that allows for this.

FYI - there is no option to not include phone numbers when syncing contacts with a supported application on your computer, and there is no option to sync phone numbers only with another application. You must not use Outlook often - at least not for contact info if this wasn't noticed before now. 😉

Try this utility. To export contacts from your iPhone's backup, you will have to register for data recovery, which requires payment.

I don't know which format the export will be in, but the format should be supported for import by the Outlook address book.

There is no other place where iPhone contact info is available.
