Recording MIDI from a Yamaha PSR-GX76 Keyboard

I have some multi-track MIDI sequences/songs programmed on my keyboard that I would like to record via MIDI (vice just analog output) into GB. I can use the keyboard easily as a MIDI controller in GB (using my MIDIMAN interface via USB). However, I can't seem to find a way to get GB to record the MIDI output coming from the pre-sequenced MIDI on the keyboard. Is there a way to do this in GB?

If not, how can I dump these sequences to a MIDI file on the Mac and then load the MIDI file into GB?

Hope this is clear. Thanks!

Sorry, but this is not a GB problem. If you can record the notes you play manually on your keyboard, then GB will also record pre-recorded pieces - if your device streams the midi data out. It seems not to be doing that, maybe it's a setting somewhere. The same with ghe midi files: Only your keyboard will be able to turn its internal data into midi files and export them. That will probably only work through a data connection (USB) and not through the midi connection.

Could the problem be that the keyboard is sending multiple tracks to GB at the same time? I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 that I COULD run the keyboard through instead (I use the Saffire for multitrack recording of real instruments and mics). Or perhaps I need to figure out how to get the keyboard to spit out each track at a time.

What I am hoping to do is record the keyboard's patches digitally in GB and synch the track to GB's "clock" so that I can manipulate the track. But it is sounding more and more like even through MIDI GB treats it like a recording.

I will try to say it differently. When we send MIDI data from the keyboard, it is sending multiple tracks from the keyboard's synth (piano, drums, bass for example). I only set up one MIDI software instrument in GB and hit record in GB and play on the keyboard. I am wondering if my problem is that GB does not know what to do with multiple tracks coming from the synth with only on track in GB.

Using real instruments I know how to map the real instrument track to an input so I can record multiple tracks. There does not seem to be a way to do this for software instruments. So I am wondering (out loud) if GB doesn't show anything coming from the keyboard because the keyboard is sending multiple tracks and GB only has one track recording.
