Unable to Select Printer in Epson Print CD

Hey All

Was wondering if someone could shed some light on this.

I've just installed Epson Print CD 2.00.00E (3 times) and updated the drivers. The Print CD program works fine expect that it does not allow me to select my printer (R310). I can go to File > Print > Select Printer. The program picks up the R310 and allows me to select it but when i click "ok", the printer is not selected in the main Print window and Manual Print is the only option.

Help anyone please.

Have you contacted Epson tech support. Start there. Otherwise the only thing we could add is to ask if you have installed the normal printer driver for the R310? If not perhaps you should try that then try using the CD print software.

Trash the PrintCD preferences:

/Users/EnNoying/LIbrary/Preferences/EPSON Print CD.plist

(Replace EnNoying with your login name in the above path)

Thanks for the advice.

I've not yet contacted Epson as feedback on the web isn't all that positive. Will do so now.

I've also trashed he "jp.co.epson.PrintCD2.plist" but am still unable to select printer.

Epson have provided a solution! Will try out and feedback if successful

1. Continue to manual print, ignore message and click ok.
2. Confirm printer name in Page Setup Window under "Format for:" and click ok.
3. Click on drop down box (small arrow head down icon next to printer name)
4. Click on drop down box near layout and select printer settings
5. Click on drop down box next to Media Type & select CD/DVD
6. Ensure CD/DVD tray is set and click print.

This works for me! Thanks for the post. Although I hope Epson can fix this issue with an update.
Also, I found something about resolving font issues within the Font Book application (which I also did by resolving duplicates). Just printed a test CD which went fine.

I don't know if this helps, but I've always had problems printing wireless with my Epson Photo Printer 580. I am now able to print CDs wireless by going to Epson's North America site and downloading the EPson Print CD v2.0 as well as as the common updater.

I can not select CD/DVD, it is grey out.
