jampack 3: will it do rimklicks like la grange (zz top) ?

hello everybody,
I am looking for some very basic prefabricated soundloops. one would be a real simple snaredrum that plays something like a "countryshuffle" and the other would be a blues-boogie rimklickediklack like the beginning of zz-tops la grange or the stones casino boogie. do i need jampack 3 to get that for my gb2? or has those sounds a friendly soul available to send it to me? i am looking for lo-fi rootsdrumsounds, but the stuff that comes with gb2 is a little bit too "polished" and shiny. would jampack 3 be good for me?

I got some demos loops of DoD, but I really like being able to edit to fit MY song, rather than search for something that can fit. But I am not opposed to popping in an audio loop to get a certain effect if needed 🙂

well the problem is you only got some demo loops...if you had the DoD full volumes, the searching is not hard, the variety is incredible, and actually editing the real loops is pretty easy. There's certain transient sounds when real drums are recorded like how the kick drum will cause the snares to rattle on the bottom of the snare drum that you can't reproduce in midi no matter what you do.

True. I can recall spending hours trying to get rid of some of those sympathetic sounds when recording in the old tape days. I guess I shouldn't have worried about it. If you listen to about the first 3 Beatle LPs, Ringo's kick pedal squeaks on every single song, quite clearly, too.

I read between the lines, checked out dod and ordered they country-pack for 49 dollares. that will solve all my problems i guess. i ordered in apple loops format. that should be right. what would i be without this forum....
