I can also attest to this. My Mbox Pro is giving me the blinking orange light of death.

I was in such a rush to upgrade (just married and wanted ilife 09 to post websites, wedding pics ..etc).

Now I have a session tonight and need something. If I rolll back to Tiger, what kind of problems am I in for?

I may just buy an Apogee and sell the Mbox Pro for good. Has anyone had luck with Apogee products and Snow Leopard?

Thanks and best of luck to you

Unfortunately nothing helpful as of yet tylerbrown. There aren't any updates available for digi core audio. Although I do remember a posting about a work aroun, but who knows how stable that is.

I have ditched my digi hardware for a Duet and it's been great.

Best of luck to you. Hopefully they will do something soon!!! it's really taking a while for an update.

Snow Leopard and Digi coreaudio manager Pro tools 8.03

The first one work for me. It was the change to 265 buffer size in Digi coreaudio manager's prefs that did the trick.

1) Close iTunes

2) Open the Digi CoreAudio Manager. (This app should be running if you're not using Pro Tools, but want to use the 003 as for other computer audio like iTunes)

*3) Set the Buffer Size in CoreAudio Manager to 256 (this is the main thing for resolving the issue)*

4) Go to System Preferences > Sound and set the output to Digidesign HW (003)

5) Open iTunes, audio should work through the 003

Note: If these steps don't work, try them again after restarting with the 003 connected

Hope this helps anyone looking to fix this issue!

Quit out of all open applications.

Trash the following preference files:

1. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.systempreferences.plist (delete this file)
2. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.audio.AudioMIDISetup.plist (delete this file)

4. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > ByHost > com.apple.systempreferences.xxxxxxxxxxxx.plist (delete this file)

Empty the trash, restart.
