Photoshop CS4 "Could not complete your request because of a program error"

Installed Snow Leopard, started to go back to work, opened Photoshop CS4 and I get this error when creating any new, or opening any current document:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error"

Any ideas? I thought it might have been a bad font, so I validated all my fonts in font book, no errors or issues reported.

Help! I'm under deadline, I can't lose PS today!

I was having the same problem with cs4 on 10.5.8. Everything was up to date and it wasn't making any sense.

I removed my font agent plug ins and haven't had any problems since.

cocktail did the trick for me too, wasted 2 1/2 hours w/adobe support and a trip to the genius bar, but the guy at the genius bar did tell me to search the internet, so I guess he did have the right approach.

I have a user that's running into the same problem. Whether she's in PS CS4 or not, she'll get the error popping up. Where did you remove the font agent plug ins from? Thanks and I appreciate the help.
