AT&T 3G (Sierra Wireless) Drivers Working Under 10.6?
Anyone have any luck getting AT$T's Sierra Wireless modem working under 10.6. I have downloaded the latest drivers from Sierra's website which are suppose to allow using Apples WWAN utility; however, the WWAN software does not launch when the device is attached.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drive with no luck.
However, Sierra DOES have a solution that works for most (all) of us -- 3G Watcher. See my post above. While it is somewhat dissatisfying because it doesn't use the native driver, it does work, so it should be a solution until Apple and Sierra determine a fix in the future.
Are you using the Sierra Watcher application or the native support where you get a signal meter in the menubar? I can also confirm the watcher works fine. I think a lot of us would prefer to not need it and just use the built in WAN support in the OS.
I fixed it for my 875U. Updated to 10.6.1. and called Sierra. The said to remove all old Sierra stuff (the folder) and download version 2.0.6. ONLY this version. That worked - good luck! Jeff
