wb3 file type not recongnized

I just upgraded from Logic Pro 8 & Waveburner 1.5 to Logic Studio 9 and Waveburner 1.6. Wave burner will not recognize any of the .wb3 files that the previous version of Waveburner created. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix or work-around?

A simple re-install fixed it. And don't continue using Waveburner until you've re-installed if you have this same problem because you can't open 1.6 sessions either if you have this problem. And you still can't after re-installing, so better re-install at once and minimize the damage.

Insert the Logic 9 install disk and uncheck everything BUT Waveburner. The new installation will fix the problem.

I've never had to re-install anything on a Mac before (since '95) so I didn't think of this solution for some time...

The fix of this problem is really simple:

Open WaveBurner.app

Go to folder ...WaveBurner.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj (if you use a other language choose that)
Open the file infoPlist.strings and change the line
"WaveBurner 3 Document" = "WaveBurner 3 Document";
to
"WaveBurner 3 Document" = "wb3";

Save and you can read the wb3 (and write) files.

Why the file-ending is localized is a good questions to the developers.
