iCal Icon in Dock shows wrong date with Snow Leopard
Has anyone noticed the iCal icon still shows Aug 28 today (the 29th) in the dock? It will update itself when iCal is running to the correct date but once closed, it reverts back to the 28th. This occurred after the upgrade to Snow Leopard.
I has the same problem until I realized I have my Google Calendar synced to iCal, which had a different time zone set. Setting a correct one fixed my problem. Maybe this one helps others.
I got a new Macbook running 10.6.3 i never notice about this issue on ical at the dock until the wind blows and bring me to this thread.
My iCal date at the dock when it is closed says July17, but when i open iCal it shows the correct dates. I tried several suggestions like 1)"killall Dock" 2)delete "caches folder" and "com.apple.....plst" 3) remove ical from dock and return it. All the said work around yield to the same problem.......need help im also tired seeing this Jul 17 date on my iCal....theres nothing special about this date.....BTW, im a newbie on Mac
I am having the same problem, also with the July 17. I don't think it has been like that for too long though, I keep it on my dock and constantly glance down to double check the date. Wonderful, all of my checks probably have the wrong date on them.
I had a similar problem running iCal 3.0.8 on a PowerMac running OS X 10.5.8 but slightly different.
The correct date displayed, but the date was skewed off the icon strangely (not properly centered on the calendar.)
This procedure seems to have fixed it.
Thanks.
Quick update. I dragged the icon off the dock for three straight days, then put it back. Believe it or not, mine is working correctly now. Worth a try - it's easy to do....
