Flash Player Eating Up CPU, Bogging Down System

Hello,

After upgrading to Snow Leopard I've noticed that Flash Player takes up a lot more CPU power than it did with Leopard. Is this a common problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Just an observation: While running Safari in 64 bit mode, the Flash Player plugin begins at about 75% and drops down to around 45% as the video continues on. Of note, is that Safari runs from about 10% to 13%.

When I switch Safari to 32 bit mode, the Flash Player plugin doesn't show up in Activity Monitor at all. Safari is now running about 40% to 45% cpu which seems to me was about the norm back in my Leopard days.

Understand, I am having no issues with this Imac as others obviously are. Perhaps this little bit of info could cause some other poster to offer more knowledgeable insight than I.
