Full screen.....

Currently speaking the the Apple Store Regents Street (London) and they tell me that theres no way around my number 1 bugbear about Final Cut Pro (5, BTW) which is that theres no way of previewing a sequence full screen i.e. not in the viewer with all the transport controls etc etc taking up space. Well thats unless anyone here knows any different!!

Surely I can't be the only one who'd like this feature?

If I had to guess, I'd say you're missing the /Library/QuickTime/DesktopVideoOut.component and a re-install may be warranted. You might potentially be able to extract that file from the installation by poking around and/or using Pacifist ( Version Tracker).

what's very strange about your screenshot is that there's a blank spot where "Digital Cinema Desktop Preview - Main" should be.

As to why you don't have it listed, but have a blank spot... I have no idea.
