Strange file called "client node" appeared on my desktop-- cant't delete it

Since upgrading to snow leopard, a weird file has appeared on my desktop called " client node" I can not move, delete, or modify this file in any way - when I click info and look at permissions, it says " you have unknown access" and I can not change it. Everything is working great, but this file is annoying. How can I get rid of it, or at least make it invisible?
Thanks.

maybe try deleting it from the terminal.

example:

cd Desktop
rm weirdfile

-or if you don't have permission-

sudo rm weirdfile
