Konica Minolta bizhub C253 printing crashes application

Anyone else having problems with this particular printer? Konica bizhub C253 is in company network and with Track Account (cannot use generic drivers as they don't support Track Account). Printed fine both in 10.5 Leopard and in Fusion 2.05 running Windows XP. Now, after upgrading to 10.6 SL, I can reach the print window with layout, print quality, etc... but once I hit the print button the application crashes. Other than wait for Minolta to come up with updated drivers, any known work arounds?

Macbook white, G4 533DP, 6100, Starmax 3000, Mac OS X (10.6)

The mentioned workaround does work for the bizhub C353 model as well. Although I had crashes with the 5.3.0 driver; when I switched back to 5.2.7 and followed the steps above, everything works fine so far. I'm not sure if there's even missing some functionality; I didn't miss anything when looking at the various option pages.

I'm wondering when KonicaMinolta will deliver some solution to this, though; no news on any 10.6 support yet...
