This modem works fine under 10.5 - not even recognized by the computer under 10.6. Any advice on how to fix or do we have to wait for Novatel to rework the driver?
I tried this with the MC990D and it doesn't really work. I can open 1 or 2 websites and then the connection stalls. Also disconnecting does not work anymore, I have to yank the usb cable.
Same problem here, since my upgrade to SL 10.6.1 five days ago, my MC950D Ovation USB Modem doesn't work. I did download the 2.2.3 driver and the modem still doesn't work. My wireless service provider has no answers to why and the only answer that I got from Rogers Wireless technical support was " the Ovation MC950D does not work with Snow Leopard. " Great help, I knew that before I call them.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions ? Please, help.
Hi
I am having a related problem; I tried the Novatel MC950D after upgrading to 10.6, but the Nework config window under "advanced" does not show a 3G option; it displays only as if I was configuring an external dial up modem, with "Apple" and "other" as the only choices in the first of the two fields, and a choice of Apple modems in the other field.
Is my Nework software corrupt? I have tried both the newer and older version of the Novatel 3G drivers.
Fixed it by doing a "clean install" of Snow Leopard over the existing Snow Leopard.
All of my non-apple apps and all settings were preserved, although there is no "upgrade" or "archive and install" options available during the install process.
