Wireless keyboard caps lock light not working

Hey, said it all in the title but here's the story...

Got home today and realized that the caps lock LED don't light up anymore. Has anyone else had similar problems? If so, how was your situation rectified?

The keyboard still works fine, don't think its a bad enough problem to have it replaced or be without it for ages. Could see if apple will allow a straight swap at the shop...

Also a problem i've experienced twice. My iMac is less than a month old.

Having took the batteries out and simply changed their positions, my battery charge level is now reading 100% even though earlier it was 87% and yesterday it was in the 60% region.

If it crops up again i'm talking it to the apple store to get replaced. It's not a major issue I know, but it's the wee things like this that can really annoy you when they just decide to not work!

Even on my replacement iMac received January 19th, the keyboard caps lock light does not come back on if the keyboard has fallen asleep. That seems to be happening consistently for me now. The caps lock function works, but the little light does not shine! Taking out the batteries seems to reset everything and it lights until the next time it sleeps. When Apple fixes this, I'll appreciate it. Not serious but somewhat inconvenient.

Hi Guys

I discovered this post a month ago and was glad to find a solution to the caps lock problem. Trouble is - taking the batteries out is just a temporary fix. Problem keeps coming back every few days or so.

Good(ish) news is that a new free Mac App has just been released called CapSee:

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/systemdiskutilities/capsee.html

Every time you hit Caps lock a big arrow comes on screen telling you whether its on or off regardless of whether the light is working. It's not a solution but at least you get immediate feedback on the status of the caps lock - vital if you're typing in passwords, for example ...

As I posted in a different thread, my CAPS-LOCK key light is behaving properly now for several days (before it would misbehave in a day). The only thing I have done differently that I can think of is when I first was using the new iMac, I did often did not let the computer sleep and I would manually cause the display to sleep; or I would manually put the computer to sleep. Several days ago I decided to let the display sleep and the computer sleep automatically. I have the screen-blanker on either manually or after 15 minutes, the display sleeps after 20 minutes and the computer sleeps after 30 minutes. CAPS-LOCK light problem is gone! I have no idea why but it does seem to me the automatic sleeping of the computer works but forcing the sleep is disrupting something in the keyboard related to that single function. Whatever it is, we know removing the batteries, resets the keyboard circuits and temporarily fixes the light, but the computer sleeping automatically seems to ensure some keyboard status switch is not tripped. Why didn't I study engineering in school?
