Left side of touch screen not working?

I recently started having issues with the left side of the keyboard. I can't always type q, w, a, s, z, or shift. When this happen I then can't start apps on the left side either. Anyone else had this issue? I assume I probably have to take it in for diagnosis and/or repair.
