Keynote won't print divider or rule lines

I often print to PDF my keynote lectures for my students with 6 slides per page (portrait) with divider lines and rule lines for them to take notes during lecture. I just installed Snow Leopard and now, even though the option boxes are clicked, these lines do not print, either directly or when saved as a PDF. Just a glitch?

Well done Dendronotus, this is what I would have recommended as a fix. I looked in the pdf (print as pdf) and there are borders to the pics, but their thickness is 0.5 points, which means they may not come out in print on a lot of printers, I could not see any lines for people to write notes on, a la powerpoint handouts. I would have done exactly as you did but using acrobat pro that allows you to edit pdfs to certain degree, you can cut and past the new presentation over an old template. Alternatively, the other solution would be to use Illustrator or Freehand (showing my age there), to change the width of the frame already around the pics of the slides to 1 pt or more, and create a grid of lines to write on, once done you would just duplicate them.

Wow... No solutions since September??? So Mobile Me support made me upgrade to Snow Leopard which I had to pay $200 for and it didn't even solve my original problem. Thanks.

Now I can't print rule lines in Keynote? I love this software and am completely disappointed that there has been no resolution to this for months and months! I'm just like the others in this forum - Academic with a need to print handouts for students, however, I also conduct International Meetings and Seminars. This problem has really set me back.

Go back to PPT? Hmmm... I dunno... Apple!! Please help us all quickly so we don't have to go back to an MS product!!! Please!!!!!

Ok, finally got some information from Apple.

As is usually the case with Apple, this is the response.

"The technicians are aware of the problem, and a solution is being worked on.

Wait for a bugfix through the normal patching system".

I couldn't get any information on how long they have been working on the problem(or if they just started working on it now). But they are working on a patch.

So, all we can do is wait.

I did this and it worked for me. It took some trial and error, however, to get a set of lines that were conveniently spaced for people to write in. It is still a problem if you actually USE the notes section of your slides. It means you need two copies of the presentation - one for presenting, and one for printing handouts. And it doesn't let Apple off the hook for fixing this flaw in the app.
