Makeing footage look old?

I have some color footage and I want to give it an old dated black and white look. Something like an old early black and white television look. Is there a filter that works for this in FCP?

You could also try the tools in Film Effects at www.nattress.com which although designed to make your video look like film, could help, because old black and white TV is more likely to exist as a film recording rather than as video.

Hi Rodney.

At the risk of sounding facetious why not import your footage into iMovie and use the "Aged Film" effect? Then bring it back into FCP.
