Apple TV Software 2.4 and "HDCP Off"

My Apple TV worked fine until I upgraded the software to 2.4. Now, no HD material will play, citing an HDCP problem. I checked the settings, and under Settings>General>About, I can see that the TV
Connection is set at HDM (HDCP off). And there's no way I can see to turn it on.

Any ideas? Or do we just wait for a software upgrade?

Thanks.

Zorrow, I was aware the HD part of HDCP was high definition, but I was also aware that HDCP was designed to stop protected content being transmitted to non compliant devices. What I was never clear about was whether there was separate HDCP protection from the general protection given to itms movies, although I suspected there was.

What throws me even more is that the codec used in the SD and the HD versions of itms movies is the same (DRMi), of course HDCP is hardware based and wouldn't necessarily need the protection to be encrypted into the file in the same way as DRMi.

In summary I was never sure whether DRM and HDCP protection were separate or whether HDCP simply stopped the transmission of any protected content to a non compliant device and while I suspected they were separate, I was always conscious that people were reporting HDCP problems before HD movies appeared in the itms, but the OP's issue appears to contradict this.
