Mouse moves randomly

My mouse cursor moves randomly around the screen, usually all the way across and almost always to one of the screen corners, in which I have hot corners enabled. I had this issue occasionally had this issue in Leopard, but now in Snow Leopard it's more common (maybe 5-10 times an hour). Any suggestions/solutions?

I'm also getting this on my brand new MBPro 15".

I've tried the following:
- trackpad only no other input devices connected - problem occurs every hour or so
- wacom tablet - cursor wobbles around when I place the wacom mouse on the tablet
- MS Arc Mouse - problem occurs every our or so

Since the trackpad works well when it works, and because the problem occurs with external devices as well I am convinced that this is a s/w problem.

I'm having a similar problem with Safari 4.04 on the 2.93GHz Core 2 24" IMAC, SL 10.6.2, and wired mighty mouse. Also, getting the spinning ball more frequently with Safari. I have time machine set up on an external hard drive and do not have a 2nd display. I noticed this behavior in the last couple of weeks, but updated to SL 10.6.2 back in November so seems odd that this didn't start occurring until recently. The only other major update I've made is to MS office 2008.

My mouse pointer is also moving around unexpectedly, but it doesn't look totally random to me: at least some of the time (I can't swear to noticing where it has gone every time), it seems to zoom first to the MacHD icon in the upper right corner of the desktop, then to the trash icon on the right-hand end of the dock at the bottom of the screen. Has anybody else seen this?

As the number of complaints counts, put me on the list too.
I've a Mac Pro early 2008. Ever since the beginning I've been confronted with this erratic mouse behaviour; in Leopard and even in Snow Leopard. I can't find out why, how to prevent it, predict or provoke it.
I had the main board replaced because of problems with the ethernet ports. So I hoped the 'mouse' would act normally, but no luck.
Anyway, it's driving me nuts.

Hopefully Apple can cure those mice.

Same problem here.

My mouse has been randomly flying to the upper left corner of my screen for months now. I am finally to the point that I'm sick of dealing with it and adapting to this bug and want a solution to this problem.

I only have one monitor in use. I'm using the USB optical mouse on my desk surface - no paper or mouse pad. I'll try a white piece of paper to see if that helps.

I have posted before. Just to let you know it is Apples position that there are not enough complaints and the intend to do nothing. It happens 3-4 times right after boot then randomly there after. The best recommendation was to record the screen and send ti to the second level tech. He indicated that it was highly likely that they would still do nothing so I did not bother.
