itunes 9 messed up my Playlist.

I just downloaded itunes 9 and the OS 3.1 for my itouch, but I noticed a problem...

My top 25 most played playlist shows the correct list of songs on itunes, but when I synced my ipod another random list of songs appears. It was fine before I updated both apps. I didn't change any of the settings either.

What do I do?

Thank you sooososoooo much owie007!!!! I updated my ipod touch software and it completely messed up my smart playlists, I was actually freaking out because I listen to my ipod about 20 hours every day!!! Anyways thank you so much, your suggestion worked and I seriously appreciate it as I have about 300 songs on my most played and it would've taken me FOREVER to sort it all out again!! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Note that while the suggested method above works, your smart playlists will not Live Update unless you edit them and re-select the Live Updating option. Also, this not only breaks Live Updating on the iPod, it breaks it in iTunes too. Not very convenient ...

The better workaround is to edit your smart playlists by adding "Playlist Is Music", where "Music" is the general category for music items in your library. This will also break Live Updating (on the iPod only), BUT the playlists will update each time you re-sync to iTunes (i.e. no need to edit the playlist each time). Give that a try.
