How to force dvd to play main menu when first started?

I'm using iDVD 7.0.4 and applied 6.0 themes for my projects. For some reason, the dvds created always skip the main menu and just start playing content directly when I insert them into a dvd player. Any settings to force the dvd to first show its main menu?

Mac OS X (10.6)

Hi

Did You drop Your movie into the Auto-play box. If so the menu is omitted.

Open Your iDVD project and under it's window press the box-plot button (with squares in it) and see if Your movie is up top left box - if so it will auto-start.

Take it away and use Import movie function instead.

I created the iDVD project by doing a Share from iMovie'09.

So yes, I see a clip in the very top box. The second box has the main menu. Should I just go ahead and delete the clip in the top box? I see that if I delete that clip, the top box doesn't go away but shows "Drag content here to automatically play when disc is inserted".

that is correct - if there's no content in that box, the DVD will start with the main menu..

the autostart-box is - the name implies it - for 'themeless' DVDs (=no menu, just a video) or for other purposes, a few examples listed on my site: http://sites.google.com/site/idvdmodding/
