iTunes Media Folder

I installed itunes 9, and under Library > Organiza Library it gives me the chance to "Upgrade to Itunes media Organization"...

The iTunes 9 help menu states this:
If you haven’t yet upgraded your iTunes Music folder, you can do so now by selecting “Convert to iTunes Media folder.”

This renames the iTunes Music folder to iTunes Media, and places all your iTunes library files in the appropriate subfolders (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and so on).

I tried that, but my folder name is still "itunes music"
Is this the correct behavior?
Should i rename it to iTunes media or it is supposed to happen automatically?

Thank you for your help
Paolo

My iTunes Music folder remained the same name-wise, but I did get the new structure, except I still have those artist folders with album names and artwork inside them, no music. If I delete all of those, will the artwork remain attached to the music in the new structure, or should I move the artwork over manually?

I tried adding artwork to a track that didn't already have it to see where it went in the new structure, but it appears to get embedded in the track itself, not going into the folder where the music is, or another folder somewhere. I didn't see a new folder created for the artist/album that I added in the iTunes Music folder, nor is there an Artwork folder anywhere.

iTunes doesn't use artwork from the folders. If the Mac version is similar to the PC then it creates an artwork cache in a folder called Album Artwork in your main iTunes folder. You should be safe to delete all the orphaned artwork. Test by deleting a few of these folders and making sure the corresponding albums in iTunes are unaffected.
