Compatible Camcorders for Mac

Does anyone have any ideas as to what camcorders are compatible with Macs? I want to be able to transfer video from a camcorder to my Mac. I haven't purchased a new camcorder yet and want to be well informed before I make a mistake.

iMac Intel, Mac OS X (10.6)

My Sony Mini-DV works via FireWire. So, any Sony with iLink should work. I know it's not a camcorder, but the Flip Video imports easily as well. The upside to the Flip is that I just copy video files over, and the downside is no control over specific clips. Advantages to iLink, or Firewire, is that iMovie will control the camcorder, allowing you to fast forward, rewind, etc and get that specific part that you want (or skip the part you dont). There really isn't a downside, other than file size. Higher resolution camcorders will import with a larger file size.
