Snow Leopard, Mail and Recovered message

I just installed Snow Leopard and every time I open Mail, it "Recovers" some message 2 or 3 times, I never had this problems before, it began the next hour after installed SL.
Any idea please,
Thank you

If meaning the problem mentioned in the topic below, please use the Finder to open Home/Library/Mail and locate the file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3. Use Get Info to see when this file was last updated -- should be after the last time new messages were downloaded?

Quitting Mail and removing this file, and then relaunching Mail will result in a freshening of the file, if it has become corrupted, but will once more download everything still on the server. But hopefully for the last time. This has solved this problem for others, as has been reported in an earlier topic at:

http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10073157#10073157

The discussion goes into other dimensions of the problem for some people checking mail from more than one computer or device, and some providers might be more prone to have this reoccur.

You should also update to the newly released 10.6.1, but I cannot confirm it deals with this issue.

Richard,

Does this start out as a drag of the message? If so, try selecting the message, click on Message in the menubar, choose Move To and target the desired folder. Do this now with any message, but only proceed far enough to see if the Move Again is set to what you would most recently have done?

In the Finder, have you opened Home/Library/Mail/Mailboxes to see if there is a Recovered Messages.mbox (or .imapmbox) folder is there?

If you're experiencing the "Recovered Messages" issue it may be related to offline processes that are failing when you open iMail. For me the fix was to open a terminal window and delete all the files in the following folder: ~/Library/Mail/IMAP-email@domain.com/.OfflineCache

Hope that helps.{quote}

I had the same problem with a 34 MB message that kept endlessly recovering (bogging down the whole Maill.app in the process).

This worked perfectly for me, thanks!

This could help,
Go to:
- Mail Preferences,
- Accounts, make sure (write down) you have the data for the account(s) giving troubles,
- Delete that account(s)
- Create that account you just deleted, using the previous written data
- Restart your computer
Sometimes when I had mail problems this procedure solved my problems, hopefully it will do it for you.
Greetings
