iPod Radio Remote doesn't work

Hi everybody,

I just purchased the new Nano and I'm having problems with the Radio remote (which I acquired 3 months ago for a Nano 4th generation that I lost). Well, the screen keeps showing the message: "ACCESSORY IS NOT SUPPORTED" and obviously it does't work.

This is quite disturbing as you can see in the apple online store that this accessory is compatible with the new Nano...

Any help available? Thanks in advance from Barcelona.

It is no longer listed on the US Store, but since it was released some time ago how would it be listed as compatible with the 5th Generation iPod Nano? I tried mine and get the same message, my guess would be since the iPod already has an FM receiver you cannot add a second one.

Well, at least the remote controller should work!! It's really helpful to have it and I think I'm gonna miss it sooo much.

Hello,

I'm facing the same problem and the Radio remote is still available on the french store (given compatible with iPod Nano 5g too).

Hi, I've not even tried to plug my radio remote into my new ipod. I have got a Roberts radio that I used to plug into my 4th gen, but it ran the nano battery down so quickly. I now use Apple's headphones with remote and mic, they work great as a remote for the 5th gen.

Indeed, I found out the hard way this incredible little device is no longer supported. I am on my bicycle for 4-6 hours a day and use(d) mine to control the nano. Don't give a dang about radio.

Wishing I could find an alternative. Until then, I'll be stocking up on the 4th gen models.

I paid $50 for my radio remote. Not a clue if it will work with a nano. Don't want a touch or iPhone for exercising.
