Preference plist was NOT a dictionary

I am getting console message 6 times every hour. The message looks like

9/20/09 10:06:56 AM PreferenceSyncClient[9312] Preference plist was NOT a dictionary.

I have a new MBP/17 with Snow Leopard. I do not have MobileMe. The only sync'ing I have (as far as I know) is iCal with Google Calendar. The latter is set to refresh every 15 minutes.

Any ideas what is causing the message 6 times per hour?

hmm, well moving out the org.cups.printers.plist and restarting creates a new one identical to the first (with a top level array). The 6 Preference plist was NOT a dictionary are still there on running

/System/Library/CoreServices/PreferenceSyncClient.app/Contents/MacOS/PreferenceS yncClient --sync --periodic

I then used PlistEdit Pro to change the top level array to dict as suggested and saved it (after keeping a backup of course). I still generate the 6 plist errors on running the test.

It seems I have a case not solved yet. Oh well, I'll just let it go, I'm way out of my depth here as it is haha.
