iTunes 9.01 released

Apple has released iTunes 9.01. Here are the release notes:

About iTunes 9.0.1

iTunes 9.0.1 provides a number of important bug fixes, including:

* Resolves issues browsing the iTunes Store.
* Addresses a performance issue where iTunes may become unresponsive.
* Fixes a problem where iTunes may unexpectedly quit.
* Fixes a problem syncing Podcasts in playlists to iPod or iPhone.
* Fixes a problem sorting albums with multiple discs.
* Addresses an issue with the Zoom button not switching to Mini Player.
* Improves application syncing for iPod touch and iPhone.
* Genius is now automatically updated to show Genius Mixes.

I am downloading the 64-bit version as I type and will see if it resolves the installation problems.

Sorry, spoke too soon. iTunes 9.0.1 is still not working. It didn't give an error message when it first launched - which iTunes 9.0 did - and I was able to sync both an iPhone and an iPod, as I reported above. But after I quit and restarted iTunes, the "The software required for communicating with iPods and Mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?" error message popped up. Oddly enough, I am still able to sync my iPhone, which shows up in iTunes 9.0.1, but cannot sync the iPod.

I just want to say I never experienced any of these issues. Now that it just upgraded to 9.01 I am having all of the above. It doesn't want to open, finally when it does it is unresponsive. After 8 hours of me being at work it played music when I got home...Only to completely go unresponsive again when I attempted to go to the Itunes store. And it's not my computer as all other programs work fine while this is happening. (And my cpu/ram isn't being taxed while all this is happening...) Good update apple...
