Been a classic example of a feature request that has been ignored for years.

1. Sure you can.
2. Right click on an AUX bus' label in the mixer and select "Create/Select Arrange Track" (Ctrl-T).
3. This will place an AUX bus on the Arrange window. You can move it anywhere you want. I've posted a screen shot. Notice that my MS Drum Buss is right next to the original Mid and Side channels. Same way the final two drum buses are next to all the drums tracks. (That way, with this layout they also appear on one page of my control surface and so I have quick access to every drum channel and I'm not flipping back and forth.)
4. Make sure that the Mixer window is set to display "Arrange". If so, all your AUXes should appear in the order they are in your arrange window.

please someone just tell me how to move the position of channel strips/rearrange auxillary buses, it's just an organizational thing, but extremely helpful if i'm adding new devices in Reason and want them to be wired to Logic, but i want them side by side with an already created channel strip
That doesn't work for me mate, the channels ( as I said ) will move this way, but the buses and the AUX channels stay put.
Edit: Ahh interesting, the first 8 send channels on my mixer won't move, but after that anything past bus 9 ( which becomes AUX 1) will.
This I did not know.

I was specifically talking about AUXes above (which is clear I think/hope.)
I don't use "Bus" strips anyway, with Logic 8 and 9 taking care of the routing automatically they stay hidden in the environment, since BUSes themselves have no sends, while AUX Buses do. In fact, I haven't seen a genuine "BUS" strip since I started using LP8 and 9. AUXes are created from the start, and can be re-arranged from the get go.
I am glad it works for you though.
I always found it funny how many times I screamed for a feature that turned out to be there... heck, I still do.

It would make sense to have a pref that you could enable and disable, something like *link track order to mixer.* Included in that should be the possibility to rearrange tracks/channel strips in the mixer as well.
...how hard can it be?

Not knowing what Logic's code looks like, and not knowing what do to with it even if I did, who's to say?
I have thought the same thing on occasion, but at least there's a way to do it, even if it's not as intuitive at first glance.
so you are telling me i have to add additional tracks to the arrange window, that kinda ***** though....i usually like to just have my vocals and recorded audio there, since the tracks are all arranged within REason. I guess I could just start to do arrangements in Logic, which i guess would down on having to have the Reason arrange window open also and then going back and forth, but i'm really familiar with the Reason editing of midi, haven't gotten into Logics midi yet. Either way , if i was to do this, when I click on Arrange in the mixer view, i won't see the other buses unless i also create arrange tracks for them. So my attempt to add an aux bus next to one already in the mixer is going to turn out to be a lot more work. seriously seems like a silly feature to miss. Perhaps this will be an additional push to scrap Reason altogether and start working in Logic exclusively, for beats also. But ****, then i gotta learn new instruments, I was getting so acquainted with Reason's
I stopped using Reason back at Reason 2 so I can't help there.
I don't mind the extra tracks on the arrange window. What with all the zooming and focus key commands available (and many have been available for a long, long time), having a few extra tracks on the arrange isn't too difficult to deal with - but that's just me.
Today's 9.0.1 lesson brought to you by the letter "Z." 😉

use the mixer in the environnement. There you can place any channel-type anywhere...
I always use the adative mixer to create objects, then the environnement to build my main working area up to my needs.
