No problems have yet been proven for OS 3.1. The people who followed Apple's procedures to install it have had no problems.
I hate to bring your carte blanche determinations of fault under scrutiny once again, but you seem to mindlessly repeat these unhelpful statements in absence of the known facts.
In reply to one of your previous assertions that every single individual's problem post-3.1 is due to user (caused) error (specifically; not following the correct updating procedure) I provided my case as an example of A) someone who understands correct update/install procedure, and B) installed the 3.1 update according to correct procedure.
It is incredibly unhelpful to people here for you to just repeat unquantified statements, which offer no useful advice towards a problem-specific resolution whatsoever, based entirely on your personal experience that 'Apple products are wonderful because they "just work".'
In direct response to you earlier, after my consultation at the Apple Genius Bar, I explained that the Apple Genius staff were, themeselves, unable to update my iPhone and had to replace the handset. Are they, too, ignorant of correct procedure? I also reported what the Apple Genius had told me- that there
is a known issue, and importantly, that my experience was not a result of anything I had, or had not, done.
Surely this is case-example enough to accept that some people, at least, may not be guilty as charged.
I hope you will take this on-baord and not post simply to put people down out-of-hand when they are looking for some usable assitance with legitimate problems that may be no fault of their own.
