Contacts numbers disappearing and some contacts completely disappear!!

Greetings all....
wonder if someone might help me?? Some of my Iphone contacts seem to be randomly disappearing and now I have noticed that other contacts telephone numbers and details have disappeared (just left name).
I am syncing with MacBook Pro, and also have Entourage installed (which I rarely use).
I have tried turning On/Off MobileMe and numerous other solutions - nothing is working and the contacts have disappeared from my computer also. I am now starting to loose faith in the phone as some of the contacts are pretty important to my work in the Emergency Services.
- Any solutions/advice gratefully accepted!!

I just noticed that the same thing is happening to me. I haven't figured out why yet, so I don't have an answer for you, but please post back here if you find a solution.

A few of my contacts have vanished, and quite a lot of phone numbers are missing. Strange. But the strangest thing is that the phone numbers and contacts are wiped out - not only in my Nokia 6300 and my Address Book after last iSync - they are wiped out in Time Machine too. I know for sure I had those contacts and phone numbers before my last sync, but when I go back in Time Machine the same info is missing months back. How is that possible?

Such a late thread but hopefully I can be helped. I looked through the posts and couldn't find a solid answer.
I noticed about 2 weeks ago that the numbers have been being deleted from my iphone, but not the entire contact info itself, just the numbers.
took the phone into apple and they rebooted the entire thing, saying that the problem should be solved.
but it wasn't. It has also deleted the numbers(again, just the numbers, not names, pictures, or email of the contacts) from my mobile me account.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?!

Today - just like 10 minutes ago my contact numbers disappeared. In my recent calls I see only digits not names or anything. When I look at my contacts - it shows me pictures and names but not the numbers. When it did this - it acted up a bit - going black and not wanting to come back on. I thought it was just my Otterbox Defender (not being able to hit the buttons right) I just put it on about 2 hrs ago.
Anybody know what this is about?

Today, all of my contacts, 455 of them vanished into thin air. Two computers and one iPhone all wiped out. My laptop even warned me, but then without approving the sync, it did it anyway! Everything is kept in sync with MobileMe, and even when I log into my account they are gone too.

In previous months I had problem with duplicates and random people disappearing, but that seemed to stop when i stopped syncing with Yahoo!.

I feel your pain.......last weekend, I updated my iphone, then it too synched without asking me. Then, guess what? I LOST all of my contacts, but 4, which I rarely use. I had over 100 contacts, most are for work. But wait! I thought I'd still have them in Outlook, but to my dismay, the same 4 were there too. I am flabergasted, and will most likely not upgrade my iphone to a 3g. I feel safer with what Verizon offers.... And by the way, if I want to "talk" with Apple Support, I have to pay for it. Sorry, but that's just plain ******.
