Folk Radio

The Folk radio stations have disappeared. Does anyone have a clue how to get them back or where they are located now in iTunes 9?

This is dumb. I tried to open the Folk triangle, instead got a twitchy finger and POOF!! with a double click the whole bloody Folk Radio folder is gone!!

Haven't any idea where to look, reimport or how to restore those selections. Reinstalling iTune 9.01 didn't do the trick.

Does anyone have the work-around?? This is silly APPLE!!!

The same thing happened to me. No idea why they got rid of the "Folk" category, but at least some of the stations appear to be recategorized elsewhere. For example, "WUMB - Folk Radio" is now under "College/University" (which is also an accurate as that station is hosted by UMass Boston). But, why get rid of the "Folk" category?

This seems to be a step backwards for the radio interface, and is not helped by not being having a working search (for either station names or descriptions), so the only way to find the old stations is to manually scroll through all the categories.

This seems like a really stupid thing to do. I wish at least it would have given me some warning before it disappeared the whole folder (as then I could at least have made a list of what the folk stations I used to listen to were called).

Why not just allow stations to be members of multiple categories if that's what they could be considered?

The "Public Radio" category has been removed from the tuner service. Some public radio stations were put into News/Talk, others are in the Classical section and yet others are in Jazz, as appropriate to their content. I find this organization easier than having to look in two different categories for stations that, for instance, stream classical music as was previously the case, but everyone has their preferences. You can comment on the situation, if you wish, via this link:

Well, I'm delighted that YOU "find this organization easier;" I don't, and neither do a lot of other users, it seems. I "commented on the situation" via the link provided, but somehow I can't help thinking that that link is actually the fabled "round file." May I make a suggestion? If it works, don't fix it.
