cursor jumps in snow leopard

Ever since I loaded OS 10.6.1 I have been having keyboard issues -- I'll type and then realize I am no longer typing at end of sentence -- I'll be typing at the start of the sentence -- the cursor "jumps"

it is quite annoying.

any idea on what to do would be appreciated.

generally this has been happening in safari.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

To be fair, I should also note that this could a Logitech Control Center problem. There are some comments on Logitech's support site about LCC v3.2 and cursor jumping.

These last posts are from july 09. Does anyone know if the problem can be solved? Because i have installed SnowLeopard last month and this cursor is driving me crazy.

Actually, my posts are from last week. My cursor problem was solved by reverting to Logitech's LCC version 3.1 from 3.2. I can't say if that will solve your particular problem, of course.

My mistake, sorry, I was looking at your registered date in stead of the post date. But I don't have anything of Logitech on my computer (as far as I know of), so that's unfortuanately not going to help me. Thanks for your answer anyhow.

I'm getting this problem, too, and I'm certain it's not a hardware issue: This happens with both the trackpad (on my MacBook Pro), AND my wireless external mouse. It's only started happening with Snow Leopard.

Also, I don't think it's a heat issue because I have the computer sitting on a wire shelf suspended about 10 inches above my desk.

I do, however, have the Logitech drivers installed... maybe that's the problem.

(just wanted to throw another case/configuration in here...)
