iPhone, XM deleting favorites within XM

Same problem here - seems to have started after the 3.1 update.

Nope, it also happens with 3.0. I tried xm support (absolutely useless, by the way--they must be relying completely on content to keep from alienating all their customers), but they said it was probably either an installation problem or a hardware problem.

What I noticed was that the favorites get deleted whenever the following message appears on app startup:
downloading update content lineup

My guess is that there is some kind of bug in the app, but xm support is not about to acknowledge this.

I can't believe that this hasn't happened to anyone else. I just assume that a lot of people are using that xm app--maybe not.

Try to remember to watch the startup for the app, and see if it does the same as I observed, killing the favorites only after showing the message "downloading updated content lineup."

I haven't noticed it because I haven't used it for a while (out of the country). But yes, I can confirm it also.

However, I added my favorites back and thus far they have stuck.

They may stay for a day or two but once you see that it is downloading updated channel art, your favorites have been wiped once again.

Note that the problem persists with 3.1.2 as well.

Happens to me also. I just downloaded the app yesterday. Thought I was crazy when my favorites disappeared. Guess not.

XM sure didn't test this well!!!

They did test it and it was working 100% correctly for a few months. This problem just started happening a month ago. This is a problem related to the XM server side of things and not software.

I have this same issue! I want to cancel my subscription I am so frustrated. The XM/Sirius support is horrible. They won't even acknowledge the problem. Has anyone found a solution?

It has happened for me since I installed the app in July.
It happens only after the "downloading updated content lineup" message appears during app startup.

Watch the app startup closely--the message appears while the screen is still blue.
As I may have mentioned, upgrading to 3.1.2 did not fix the problem.

Going to 3.01 is the fix.

I wish that were the fix. My 3GS iPhone is running 3.0 and the XM app still deletes my favorites. Just wait, it will still delete yours after a day or two.

Even my 2G iPhone running 2.2.1 deletes the favorites, so it is not firmware version dependant.

Just for the sake of abuse, I emailed programming@xmradio.com to bug them about this. I don't really expect any response, but if enough people ping them, who knows, they might actually do something about it.
